Enjoy Luxembourg

Eating in Luxembourg "Sou schmaacht Lëtzebuerg"

"Sou schmaacht Lëtzebuerg" is an awareness and information campaign around food products from Luxembourg's agriculture, viticulture and horticulture. It was initiated by the Chamber of Agriculture in May 2009 in close collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture. The campaign aims to give more visibility to products from the Luxembourg terroir and to inform consumers about the diversity of indigenous agricultural products and the benefits of locavorism. While the traditional products of Luxembourg agriculture such as meat, dairy products, wines and crémants and spirits are well known and appreciated by the consumer because of their extraordinary quality, the fact remains that many Luxembourg producers have been able to diversify in recent years and have managed to develop exceptionally beautiful products that deserve to be highlighted. Indeed, Luxembourg agriculture has something to seduce the most demanding of gourmets.

Sou schmaacht Lëtzebuerg means:

  • Promote regional seasonal products
  • Enjoying without worry
  • Job protection
  • Maintaining the typical character of our rural landscapes

Les nuitées à la campagne ne connaissent pas l'engouement espéré au sortir du confinement. Pourtant, entre la vie au grand air, les bons de 50€ et un accueil à l'écart de la foule, le tourisme rural a des atouts à défendre pour ces vacances.

STAMPS Tourism in rural areas

Issue stamps 2020

The second edition of the "Rural Tourism" stamp series once again represents the range of rural holidays in Luxembourg. Farms bring new adventures and new discoveries, especially for families. Direct contact with cows, horses, sheep and chickens is a highlight, especially for children. The game then enables a lively access to nature. This shared fun with the family offers real peace and a real break from everyday life. Like last year, the Luxembourgish graphic designer Eugene Kalmus imagined these two illustrations with his poetic and lively style.

Printing: High-definition four-color offset, self-adhesive stamps with perforation and grooving on the back by Gutenberg AG (FL). Dimensions: 32 x38 mm, 10 stamps with the leaf with decorated edges.

Price of the series: 1,85 € (2 stamps)

Envelope first day of issue at a price of € 5.00 (2 envelopes) until the stock is exhausted. Purchase from the office of:
